Mildred Cheche, the Kenya U17 girls’ national team (Junior Starlets) head coach has named 30 ladies in a provisional squad ahead of the upcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Namibia.

The two-legged tie will see Kenya's girls commence their campaign away, with the first leg set for April 12, 2026, but the decisive return leg will then be played on April 18, 2026, in Nairobi.

The Provisional squad has four goalkeepers, led by Mitshel Ng’ono (Wiyeta Girls), Vallary Achieng (Nyakach Girls), Martha Mitchelle (Nasokol Girls) and Roseline Achondo (Tumaini Secondary).

Pauline Namisi (Desert Scorpions) has been picked as a defender , together with Faith Boke (Butere Girls), Idah Matara (Nyakach Girls), Ruth Barasa (Wiyeta Girls), Daisy Adongo (Gideon Starlets), Sheila Atieno (Nyakach Girls), Grace Mumo (Madira Girls), Rose Nangila (Amus College) and Brenda Otieno (Kobala Secondary).

The Midfielders are Bevarline Awuor (Mathare United), Bakari Mwanakombo (Kombani Secondary), Brenda Awuor (Madira Girls), Gaudancia Maloba (Lwak Girls), Noelina Akuku (Butere Girls), Lindi Weey Atieno (Madira Girls), Beryl Awuor (Nyakach Girls), Fleviah Khatenje (St. Joseph’s Girls Kitale).

Brenda Achieng of Kakamega Hill school, headlines a forward line up that also includes Patience Waithera (St. Joseph’s Murang’a), Khadija Furaha (Kobala Secondary), Emily Adhiambo (Nyakach Girls), Tabitha Wambui (Madira Girls), Ivy Atieno (St. Joseph’s Girls Kitale), Lilyann Adhiambo (Kibera Soccer Women), Melvin Vugutsa (Annet Mixed Secondary) and Elizabeth Alizeba (Oding JSS).
